In a time where Christmas starting earlier and earlier seems to be the continuing trend in holiday and corporate culture, we are thankful for the traditional Christmas parade. This community and family event, reminds us of those past, festive, parade weekends in early December, that ushered in the true beginning of the Christmas season. Well, it’s that time of year again and we have an impressive Christmas Parade line-up for you!
We are excited to announce and highlight, 12 Christmas Parades happening in Middle Georgia over the next two weeks and we have them all covered for you in our, “Visit Middle Georgia: 2023 Christmas Parades Guide!” We have dates, times, parade routes, parade entry information, past parade pictures, and parade contacts all for your enjoyment and use. Byron – 2023 Byron Christmas Parade: Christmas Fairytales

It’s time again to prepare for the 2023 Byron Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is “Christmas Fairytales!” The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd. The parade lines up on Linda Drive near Byron Middle School and then starts at the intersection of Linda Drive and White Rd. The parade begins by heading northwest up White Rd. and then turns left on Highway 49. The parade then turn rights on Highway 42, heading NW toward Moseley Rd. Once the parade reaches Moseley Rd., it has completed the first half of its route and will then turn right on Moseley Rd. to begin the second portion.
It will head NE on Moseley Rd., passing Byron City Hall and then turning right onto Main Street. The parade marches SE down Main Street passing through Downtown Byron and then crosses over Highway 49 heading back towards Linda Dr. The parade makes its last turn, turning right onto Linda Drive and finally ends back at Byron Middle School. Centerville – Annual Lighted Christmas Parade
Come out to Centerville on December 2nd at 7:00 pm for Centerville’s Annual Lighted Christmas Parade! The parade will lineup at Thomson Middle School and head south down Houston Lake Road, concluding at the Galleria Mall. Bring the kids, bring the family, and kick off the Christmas season in lighted and festive fashion at Centerville’s Annual Lighted Christmas Parade!

Cochran – Lighted Christmas Parade
Tis almost the season for Cochran’s Lighted Christmas Parade! Parade participants will line up on 3rd Street behind Wendy’s, then move one block over to 2nd Street, and then proceed northwest down 2nd Street from Wendy’s to Robertson’s Barber Shop, at the corner of Ash Street and 2nd. If you are interested in entering a float or participating, see the below application link and/or contact Tracy Jones at City Hall. See you at Second Street on the 1st!

Dublin – Downtown Dublin Christmas Parade
Experience the magic of the holiday season under the stars during The Exchange Club of Dublin’s enchanting nighttime Christmas Parade in Downtown Dublin, GA! Stretching over a mile through the Bellevue and Downtown Historic Districts, the Christmas Parade adds a touch of wonder and delight! On Friday, December 1st at 4:30 pm, the Downtown Dublin Christmas Parade will lineup will on Martin Luther King Blvd. near Cochran Bros. The parade starts at 6 pm and will begin at the intersection of MLK Blvd. and Jefferson Street, proceed north up Jefferson St., then turn and head west on Jackson Street before ending a Dublin City Hall. Forsyth – Hometown Holidays Parade
On Thursday, November 30th, from 7 – 9 pm, join the Forsyth-Monroe Chamber on Forsyth’s historic downtown square as they host the 34th Annual Hometown Holidays Parade! This year’s theme is Rocking Around the Christmas Tree! This year’s parade is also extra special, as it take’s place during Forsyth’s Bicentennial Year. So, come to Forsyth and celebrate 34 years of parades and 200 years of Christmases! Applications for parade entry can be submitted to the Forsyth-Monroe Chamber.

Come visit Fort Valley on Saturday, December 9th for their “Christmas In The Valley” Lighted Christmas Parade! The parade starts at 6 pm with the Christmas tree lighting and caroling to follow. Hawkinsville – Rock ‘N Roll Christmas Parade
Come out and enjoy this years’ Hawkinsville CHRISTMAS PARADE!!! The theme for the parade this year will be “Rock ‘n Roll Christmas”. The festivities will begin with Main Street Holiday Open House at 10am and then the parade will follow at 5:3o pm. The parade will start on Commerce Street in front of the Library, continue down and turn right on Houston Street, and then turn right again onto Broad Street. The parade will end on Broad Street in front of Hawkinsville First Baptist Church parking lot. Make sure to stay for the Community Tree Lighting and Christmas Carols on Commerce Street to follow at 7 pm.

Macon – Macon-Bibb County Christmas Parade
The Macon-Bibb Christmas Parade is returning for 2023! On Sunday, December 17th at 4 pm, Maconites and Middle Georgians alike can congregate on Cherry Street and Mulberry Street to take-in this year’s parade. Local high school marching bands, community members, businesses, organizations, and of course Santa Claus, will all lineup together to fill the 75 spots. So come visit Downtown Macon for this grand holiday tradition!

Milledgeville – Christmas in Milledgeville Parade
Make it out to “Milly” on Sunday, December 3rd at 3 pm for the Christmas in Milledgeville Parade. The parade starts at the South Gate of Georgia Military College on Elbert Street and travels north to West Hancock Street. It will then head west to Clarke St. turning left and heading south towards its end, at the intersection of Franklin Street and Flagg Chapel Lane. This parade is presented by the Milledgeville Exchange Club.

Perry
IT’S BACK!!!! The City of Perry Christmas Parade will be making its return for the the 2023 holiday season! The parade will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 10 am. The route will begin on Kellwood Drive and then turn right onto General Courtney Hodges Boulevard and will continue to Macon Road via Carroll Street. So grab a coat and chair and come out to see the parade pass through Historic Downtown Perry! Many locally owned shops and restaurants will join in the celebration, decorating their storefronts with festive displays, inviting parade-goers inside for holiday shopping or a warm meal. Perry is known as the place, “Where Georgia Comes Together.” So this year, come together with family, friends, and community to celebrate and usher in the holiday season at the 2023 City of Perry Christmas Parade.

The Roberta-Crawford Chamber of Commerce invites you to spend the afternoon in Downtown Roberta on December 9th. Checkout the local vendors from 12-3:30 PM. The parade starts at 4:30 PM with a visit from Santa to follow. The festivities will cap off with a Christmas Concert at 7 pm. Warner Robins
It’s time once again for one of the longest running Christmas parades in Middle Georgia. On **DECEMBeR 9th at 10 am,** the City of Warner Robins Christmas Parade is back for its 65th year! This year, the city is ready to “dazzle you with a magical spectacle that will transport you to a Winter Wonderland.” Also, the parade is returning to its’ roots and is coming back to Watson Boulevard! However, this year’s route will run west, starting at Davis Drive and ending at the Houston Health Pavilion on Houston Road. This will be a grand event for the Warner Robins, Houston County, and Middle Georgia communities to join together in Christmas celebration and community fellowship!
