Middle Georgia is blessed with both large and small museums. Two of the most prominent include the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins and the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon. Both have plenty of family-friendly learning activities and displays, so you will not want to miss them.
Both of these two fine museums help engage young minds and promote learning. They are assets to the Middle Georgia community and focus on broad interests and events.
Museum of Arts and Sciences
The Museum of Arts and Sciences is a busy place. Just like the Museum of Aviation, it supports education and community events and it also has something for everyone. Their events include self portrait classes, family holiday movie nights, museum after dark visits, curated shows in the Planetarium, and lots more. Constantly evolving and improving, the Museum of Arts and Sciences will have something new and different on your next visit than they had on your previous visit.
Museum of Aviation
As far as U.S. aviation museums go, the Museum of Aviation is second in size and displays only to the National Museum of the United States Air Force Base at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. It literally has something for everyone; with lots of special events throughout the year. From the annual Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K to STEM camps and labs to car shows to auctions to Taste of Local Cuisine events. If you haven’t visited lately, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Lots of things have changes since your last visit.
