From Dublin to Musella and from Fort Valley to Milledgeville, there are plenty of pumpkin patches to pick, hay rides to enjoy, and corn mazes to explore. To top it off, there’s also lots of great locally made and farmed, Georgia Grown produce, foods, and crafts to shop and check out. If you haven’t been to Dickey Farms, then you haven’t truly seen Middle Georgia. Peach farming is the biggest agriculture industry in the area, and Dickey Farms has been shipping peaches out of their iconic packinghouse for over 125 years! With the peach season winded down, and cooler weather making its’ way, the farm is getting ready for fall festivities. Dickey’s has stocked their packinghouse market with a huge assortment of pumpkins and fresh fall apples. From September 23rd through the end of October, you can come enjoy their corn maze, hay rides, new ball zone, corn cannon, gemstone mining, barrel train rides, jump pad, and much more!! Few know how to celebrate fall like Greene Acres Farm in Cochran. Their Fall Frenzy on the Farm is their signature event. The sprawling farm in beautiful Bleckley County, will be highlighted by its’ bright orange pumpkin patch, where you can pick a pumpkin grown right where you pick it from. Greene Acres Farm is one of the most southernly located pumpkin patches in the state of Georgia with Georgia Grown pumpkins! Already widely known for some of the best peaches and pecans in the state, Lane Southern Orchards knows how to bring in the fall season as well! This year,
their 6-acre corn maze has a an extra-special design. The maze is honoring the city of Macon’s Bicentennial Celebration. While working through the maze, you can play Maize-O-Poly for a chance at prizes. Lane’s will also have hay rides, fair food, and rubber duck races. On Saturday, October 21st, come out for their 15th annual, Fall Farm Festival! At the festival and in addition to the maze and hayrides, will be a Dinosaur meet and greet, a Kids Zone, face paintings, and balloon artists.
