Food Truck Frenzy – Byron, Georgia

Byron is in a frenzy, a Food Truck Frenzy, to be exact. It’s the city’s 1st Friday Food Truck Frenzy event, in Downtown Byron. Happening on Main Street and down Jailhouse Alley, food enthusiasts can have their taste buds arrested by the amazing flavors and textures of all the yummy grub being offered at this summer event. With popular vendors like Smoke South Craft BBQ and Ricky’s Taco Shop, there’s sure to be to a big turnout. Get down there too, and Visit Byron!

What: Farmer’s Market offering locally grown and made: produce, foods, crafts, and goods. Yoga with Crunch Fitness at 9:30 am.
Don’t sleep on the City of Centerville! This small town in Houston County is growing, doing big things, and seems to always have something fun going on. This August, on the 5th and 19th, it’s their Market Days, the farmer’s market in Center Park at Centerville! More than a dozen vendors lineup under the pavilion, so shoppers can comfortably peruse their crafts and Georgia Grown goods, in the shade. You’ve got two opportunities in August and two more in September, and then this year’s market season will close. So don’t miss it. Come be in the center of all that’s going on in Centerville!

What: Silent Disco| Food Trucks | Live Music
In a famous movie, a time traveler once said, “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads!” To go back to the 70s, we don’t even need a DeLorean or Doc Brown for that matter. Just some good disco music and Downtown Perry is all it takes! The City of Perry is putting on its’ Downtown Disco next Friday, August 11th, at 7 pm. At the Perry Events Center there will be free Silent Disco, and live music and food trucks outside the center. The city encourages everyone to, “Grab your dancing shoes and bring your glow sticks, cause it’s almost time to boogie!” So, Visit Perry, “Where Georgia Comes Together.”
Picnic in the Park – Macon, Georgia

Come out to Macon’s Carolyn Crayton Park, formerly “Central City Park,” on August 12th for Picnic in the Park. Bring some lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy a family fun day with live music and food trucks. Whether it’s Bragg Jam, the International Cherry Blossom Festival, or a summertime picnic, the City of Macon knows how to put on a fantastic event. So, be sure to put this one on your schedule and Visit Macon!

Aviation Day Festival and Fly-In – Eastman, Georgia

When: Saturday, August 19th, 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Heart of Georgia Regional Airport
What: Live Music | Vendors and Food Trucks | Kids Zone | Waterslides |Warbird Rides
Aviation is a big deal in the Eastman-Dodge County area. The rural county, with its’ widespread agricultural fields, is an ideal place for flying and pilot training. So much so, that Middle Georgia State University placed its’ School of Aviation there, at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport. It’s at the airport, that the university, Dodge County, and the City of Eastman will be joining together to present Aviation Day: Festival and Fly-In. This unique event will offer flying fans a chance to not only see planes, such as the commemorative warbirds, but an opportunity to even fly in them! The festival will also offer inflatables and water slides for the kids, live music, vendors, and food trucks. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, they are throwing in car show as well. This will be an exciting, activities packed event, for all ages. You’ll definitely want
